Personal Training Terms & Conditions
- Booking Your Sessions
1.1 All sessions must be booked in advance so we can reserve your trainer’s time.
1.2 Packages are valid for a set period of 14 weeks to help you stay consistent with your training.
- Payments
2.1 Payment is required before your package begins.
2.2 If payment isn’t received, sessions may be paused until settled.
- Cancellations & Rescheduling
3.1 We understand life happens! Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
3.2 Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged to cover your trainer’s time.
- Health & Safety
4.1 Please let us know about any medical conditions or changes to your health.
4.2 Your trainer may adjust or postpone sessions if they believe it’s unsafe to continue.
- Liability
5.1 Exercise carries some risk. By joining, you accept full responsibility for your own participation.
5.2 Our trainers will always prioritise your safety, but the gym cannot be held liable for injuries unless caused by gross negligence.
5.3 By entering the gym premises or participating in any class, you acknowledge and accept that physical exercise carries inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness or other health-related issues.
You voluntarily choose to engage in gym activities and classes at your own risk.
5.4 By law, we do not have to pay you compensation for any service, facility or equipment not being available for health and safety reasons or if it is for the benefit of our members.
5.5 By law, we do not have to pay you compensation for loss or damage you may suffer unless we have failed to carry out our duties under these terms and conditions to a reasonable standard.
5.6 You agree to follow all safety instructions provided by trainers and staff.
5.7 Misuse of equipment or failure to follow guidance may increase risk and is solely your responsibility.
5.8 We will not pay you compensation if we have failed to carry out our duties due to:
5.8.1 Your own fault;
5.8.2 The fault of someone else who is not directly connected with providing our services under these terms and conditions; or
5.8.3 Events which we could not have known about beforehand even if we had taken all reasonable care.
5.9 We can make changes to the type of facilities we provide, and we will give you notice of any such changes. We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by these changes unless the loss or damage is caused by our negligence.
5.10 You must make sure that you can do the exercises provided by any Fitness Instructor or any class you attend.
5.11 You should consult your doctor before you start any exercise programme or class you go to.

5.13 We cannot accept liability for loss or damage to you or your guest’s property in the gym unless that loss or damage was caused by our negligence.
5.14 State of Mind Fitness is not liable for death, personal injury, property damage, loss or fraud.

7.1 Arrive on time and wear suitable clothing

8.1 These terms are governed by UK law.
